It's January again, which means a new round of monthly blogs! I have moved houses from Wordpress to Squarespace and am looking forward to the coming year.
This year is going to be an exciting one: the new album, The Narrative Of Arthur Gordon Pym, is in the can and am awaiting the final masters from Steve at Sage Audio. This album was written, recorded, and mixed in record time: only 6 months from stem to stern. It would not have been possible without the excellent collaborators brought in for this project: Claire Brock, Kurt Borst, and Darrin Deans. Their efficiency and creative energy fueled the rocket-propelled completion of this album and the end result is a remarkably "compact" concept album.
AGP is slated for release in March/April and I will be turning up the promotional dial on this one (hopefully) in an effort to get a bit more exposure than the first AF release from last year.
2015 will be another milestone year because, if all goes to plan, I will break my plan of one release per year and have 2-3 releases! The first release will be AGP and the other releases will be for the next concept/album; a sprawling sci fi epic which will span 4 separate releases.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though! There is still plenty of work to be done prior to the release of AGP.
